After struggling for several years to find beautiful shoes for my daughter I found the best place to get them was from the USA. Having got three pairs shipped over last summer and being stunned by the quality, design and price I decided there was only one answer and that was to set up my own company importing and selling children's shoes.

Luckily a mother at school was of the same opinion as me and had been looking into the same business herself and so 'Apples and Pairs' was born. We formed our company in September 07 and initially only imported about 200 pairs, selling them through school and charity fairs and sales.

The response when people see our selection of shoes is amazement that there is an alternative to the UK High Street. The last few months we have been very hard at work designing our website which has now gone live! www.applesandpairs.com We have got a really great range of shoes in stock, including school shoes and are starting to build up a good client base.

Getting our website in the rankings is proving very difficult but we will get there and hopefully one day we will be as large as Zappos in the USA and Canada and turning over tens of millions! Right now it would be great to get to the stage we could actually pay ourselves. It is a lot of hard work but we are getting there and if our website gets out there in cyberspace we could do very well! Any help, links and advise is most welcome.
