Got another email in today from an SEO company telling me that they can get The Pink Martini in the top ten.

I had to laugh, because when I had a look on their site, they were not even indexed by Google, as they only registered this domain in March. The cheeky bit was that the person who send me the email said that I had the right to exercise to "Opt Out". Never opted in at all in the first place!

So, send them a slight cheeky email back saying that I had not opted in, so they had no right to offer me to opt out. Also send them the results from Google (as in site not found) with details from WHOIS.

I bet that they will leave me alone now

They must think your head zips up the back...

Mind you bet there are hundreds of people fall this every day.

I am sick of getting cold-calls from SEO companies! Some of them actually have the cheek to say they found me using my Google ads! Lovely, cost me money by clicking on my ads to try and sell me something I don't want!

yes they are annoying, especially as you say that they got to your website through your google ads.

Yesterday I got one about a company that build links for you. Another I would stay clear off, as you don't want to be involved with link farms etc.
