Dawny, I do sell at events as well. Some pretty successful, others less so, so I am quite selective now. Having said that, I have at least 3 lined up between now and Christmas !I find it a good way to talk to customers face to face, get some direct feedback, promote the site and increase my subscriber base. It helps while I'm building up the traffic to my website, especially 'natural search' traffic

The events tend to be craft fairs although I am going to a vintage style fair soon as some of what I sell has a vintage feel to it as well. The cost can vary from one event to another and I am still testing out which ones work and which ones don't. I try to incorporate some sort of incentive to get new newsletter subscribers as well and I find that I will get online sales after the event as well (which is nice).
I'm due to do one this weekend at a PumpkinFest, so I will try to put some pics on !
